Small Hours End-of-Life Doula Services

The demand for compassionate and supportive end-of-life care for Australia’s ageing population is growing.

An end-of-life doula, also known as a death doula, provides non-medical, physical, emotional, and spiritual support to those nearing the end of their life, their loved ones, and anyone who wants to be proactive about their end-of-life.

From navigating paperwork to orchestrating funeral arrangements, end-of-life doulas help you navigate the complexities of life’s final chapter. Beyond the logistical, end-of-life doulas play the crucial role of lending a listening ear, a source of strength for family and friends grappling with grief and loss. End-of-life doulas can help make the transition easier for everyone involved by providing compassionate care and support during a difficult time.

Small Hours is a Melbourne-based end-of-life-doula service that transcends the conventional. We specialise in personalised and holistic end-of-life support, including practical assistance, companionship, and grief support.

Sliding-scale pricing

Financial considerations should never be a barrier to compassionate end-of-life care. Our sliding scale pricing model lets you choose a flexible rate from $70 to $120 per hour with packages available. This approach ensures that our services remain accessible to a diverse community.

We operate on trust. Kindly consider that if you choose the lowest price on the scale while having the means to afford higher options, you may unintentionally limit access for those genuinely needing financial flexibility.

Embracing honesty about your financial situation in your interaction with sliding scale practices contributes to developing robust and sustainable communities. It also acknowledges the efforts of professionals like myself, who have families and financial responsibilities. Furthermore, fair compensation enables me to dedicate more time and resources to providing free and lower-cost offerings. Your support fosters a balanced and supportive ecosystem for all involved.
